Purpose-built in 1887 for Bolton’s Freemasons. Comprehensively refurbished in 2020 with a modern bar, full wifi and redesigned function spaces. A dedicated Events Team has been welcoming weddings, parties and corporate events since 2022, with catering by Burnt Fig.

A new building on Institute Street, purpose-built to give Bolton’s Freemasons a permanent home in the centre of town.
1928
Extended to its current size with additional lodge rooms across multiple floors.
2020
Comprehensive modernisation. The Farnworth bar redesigned with a permanent dancefloor, full wifi throughout. The building brought properly into the 21st century.
2022
A dedicated Events Team established to welcome weddings, parties, corporate events and the wider community into the Hall.
2025
Burnt Fig appointed as catering partners, bringing professional on-site catering to every event at the Hall.
